GoPro Hero 7 – 85% Fair Action Camera with HyperSmooth + Dive Case + Accessories

Overview

The GoPro Hero 7 is a legendary action camera that changed the game for creators and adventurers alike. When it launched in 2018, it introduced HyperSmooth – the first in-camera stabilization that delivered gimbal-like smoothness without an actual gimbal . That single feature made the GoPro Hero 7 one of the most beloved action cameras ever made, and it remains a fantastic choice for anyone wanting professional-quality footage without a high price tag.

This unit is in 85% fair condition. It has been used and shows visible signs of wear, but it is fully functional and ready for your next adventure. The GoPro Hero 7 comes with a dive case and a set of accessories, making it a complete package right out of the box. At just $89, this is an incredibly affordable way to get into the GoPro ecosystem. It is backed by a 1-week store warranty and ships free worldwide.

Why the Hero 7 Still Matters

The action camera market has evolved, but the GoPro Hero 7 holds a special place. It was the first GoPro to truly eliminate the need for a gimbal. Reviewers at the time called HyperSmooth “alien technology” and noted that “you cannot get better without a gimbal” . For vloggers, athletes, and travelers, that meant smoother footage with less gear – a game-changer.

Even today, the GoPro Hero 7 remains a capable and reliable camera. It shoots 4K at 60 frames per second, captures 12-megapixel photos with SuperPhoto HDR processing, and can record 1080p slow motion at 240fps for dramatic 8x effects . It is waterproof to 33 feet (10 meters) without any housing, making it ready for snorkeling, surfing, and rainy days . It supports voice control, live streaming, and a removable battery – features that were advanced for their time and are still useful today .

HyperSmooth: The Feature That Defined a Generation

The GoPro Hero 7 was the first camera to feature HyperSmooth, and it remains the headline feature. Unlike traditional electronic stabilization that simply crops and shifts the frame, HyperSmooth uses the camera’s internal sensors to predict movement and compensate in real time . The result is footage that looks like it was shot on a gimbal, even when you are running, biking, or skiing over rough terrain.

This is not marketing hype. Multiple reviews and user testimonials confirm the effectiveness. One review called it “like alien technology” and said it “absolutely blew my mind” . Another described the stabilization as “unbelievable for something this small and tough” . The GoPro Hero 7 made smooth footage accessible to everyone, and that legacy continues.

4K60 Video and 12MP Photos

The GoPro Hero 7 records 4K video at 60 frames per second, delivering crisp, detailed footage with smooth motion . It also supports 2.7K at 120fps and 1080p at 240fps for extreme slow motion . Whether you are capturing a mountain bike descent or a family vacation, the video quality is excellent.

For stills, the GoPro Hero 7 captures 12-megapixel photos with SuperPhoto mode. This intelligent feature automatically applies HDR, local tone mapping, and multi-frame noise reduction to optimize every shot . It also supports RAW photo capture for advanced editing flexibility . The camera can shoot bursts at up to 30 frames per second, making it easy to catch the perfect moment.

Waterproof to 10m Without a Housing

The GoPro Hero 7 is waterproof to 33 feet (10 meters) without any additional housing . This means you can take it snorkeling, surfing, or just shooting in the rain without worrying about damage. The rugged design is built for adventure, and the camera can handle dust, sand, and impacts with ease.

For deeper dives, this unit includes a dive case that extends waterproofing further, giving you even more flexibility for underwater exploration.

Voice Control, Live Streaming, and TimeWarp

The GoPro Hero 7 supports voice control with commands like “GoPro, take a photo” and “GoPro, start recording” . This hands-free operation is perfect for mounting situations where you cannot reach the camera. It was one of the first GoPros to support live streaming directly to Facebook, and it can save high-resolution versions to the SD card simultaneously .

The camera also features TimeWarp, a stabilized time-lapse mode that lets you move through a scene while capturing sped-up footage . Unlike traditional time-lapses that require a tripod, TimeWarp lets you walk, drive, or bike while recording, producing smooth, shareable clips that look professional. This feature was a first for GoPro and remains a favorite among creators.
