Why This Lens

The 16-35mm f/2.8 GM is part of Sony’s “holy trinity” of f/2.8 zooms. The constant f/2.8 aperture provides consistent exposure throughout the zoom range for low-light shooting and subject isolation. The 11-blade circular aperture produces smooth, round bokeh.

Honest Note

This is the original GM, not the newer GM II. The GM II is 20% lighter (547g vs 680g), focuses closer (0.22m vs 0.28m), and has better coatings.

This 97% unit shows more visible use than our 98% unit but is fully functional with clean glass, smooth zoom ring, and accurate autofocus. Priced $70 below the 98% unit.
